While this post is actually being written a few weeks after the fact, I think many racers and fans are still in the throws of excitement over the beginning of the 2012 season. Meagan Creech is a great example of how a positive attitude can take you a long way. So I’m sharing her story from her first weekend of racing (3/9) and encouraging you to follow her on Twitter @MeaganCreech because she just doesn’t let things get her down!

Here’s her story:

Friday for Arena racing I qualified on the pole for my main and redrew sixth. The race started (and I had to) drive through one wreck and played the cone. Restart went just right and I went up to fourth! Another caution came out. I was up to third took the outside in the cone – started second! Battled with the leader for a few laps, almost got taken out but kept my ground. I was running third. The second place car and leader took each other out right in front of me. I just kept driving through never getting out of the gas. Two laps to go – restart. I had a good restart and pulled away and won the race!!! Started on the pole for top dog, ran with the fastest guy until someone from behind put me in the wall and broke my right front! But all in all a great time I proved that girls can race and go out there and win! I had so many other drivers coming up and saying how I earned their respect and what a great job I did!!

If you struggle with how you see the world, just look through the eyes of Meagan Creech. You, too, will see the joy in the moment!
